Pandawa

Pandawa is a scenic coastal area in southern Bali, known for its white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and dramatic limestone cliffs. Once considered a “secret beach,” it still maintains a peaceful, secluded vibe. Ideal for slow-paced, relaxed getaways, Pandawa offers stunning panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. At the entrance, statues of Mahabharata heroes carved into the cliffs add cultural and visual charm.

The area is steadily developing, yet already provides essential facilities for a comfortable beach experience. Local warungs (small eateries) serve Balinese and Indonesian cuisine, fresh coconuts, and cold drinks. Umbrellas, sunbeds, kayaks, and paddleboards are available for rent. Small surf schools operate on the beach, along with beachfront massage huts. Nearby, visitors can find boutique hotels, private villas, yoga retreats, and spa centers.

Located in the island’s south, near Ungasan and Uluwatu, Pandawa is best reached by motorbike or car—approximately 30–40 minutes from the airport. A paved road carved through the cliffs leads down to the beach, offering dramatic views from above. A large parking area is available at the entrance. While public transport doesn't reach this area, taxis and ride-hailing apps like Grab and Gojek operate reliably.
