Uluwatu

Uluwatu is a stunning area on Bali’s southern coast, known for its breathtaking ocean views, dramatic cliffs, and world-class surfing. The area offers a relaxed atmosphere, luxurious villas, and secluded beaches such as Padang Padang, Bingin, and Nyang Nyang. One of the main attractions is the Uluwatu Temple, perched on a cliff, offering spectacular sunset views.

Uluwatu has a rapidly growing infrastructure with boutique hotels, luxury villas, surf camps, and stylish beach clubs like Single Fin and Savaya. The area is home to many restaurants with panoramic views, serving both international and Indonesian cuisine. There are also spas, yoga centers, and shops selling local goods. However, large shopping malls and bank branches are limited, requiring trips to more developed parts of the island.

Uluwatu is located about 40-50 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar). There is no public transportation in the area, so the primary means of getting around are renting scooters, cars, or using taxis. The roads are winding and hilly, but they provide easy access to popular beaches and attractions.
